Self Determination leads to success and growth.
My homepage image, the Navy SEAL Trident, symbolizes why I have a set amount of determination. I want to become a Navy SEAL. It represents the determination to succeed and grow in all things that are required of me regularly and what is required of me to become a Navy SEAL.
At the beginning of this school year I had a feeling that something would cause me to acquire an amount of determination that I did not know I could acquire. Around November 6th, my life changed completely. I read a book about a Navy SEAL. I knew this Navy SEAL, he went to my church. As of March 16, 2013 he had been dead for three years. He was a good man who had a remarkable amount of self determination. That sent me into a life of determination of becoming a Navy SEAL. Navy SEAL's are the top, they are the best of the best. Yet to become one you must be have great grades from high school, perfect test scores and outstanding achievements help with getting accepted for the training. They must be physically fit, but most importantly they must be mentally fit. To be this, must be determined, intelligent, and fearless. This has helped me train my body and mind to become a Navy SEAL. I believe that since that afternoon in November that my growth in intelligence and determination has grown. In saying so, my growth in reading, writing, and thinking has taken a huge leap and that if I continue on like this then I will be accepted in the SEAL program and then I will achieve success and I will become a Navy SEAL.
Adam L. Brown. The one being who inspired me to become a Navy SEAL. He gave his life to save his assault team. Men like him are born one out of a million. Feburary 12th 1974 - March 18th 2010
